The Many Adventures of Cartoon Rob
part 4

The end of The Many Adventures of Cartoon Rob might seem odd and lack luster, but give me a minute to explain. While the idea of collecting the little shorts together into one big story was exciting, it was also very challenging. For the longest time the collection had no real connections between the stories. To fix this problem, panels were made to suggest ties between each event. For example, after Cartoon Rob rides a cow, he and Cartoon Vin hear the ice cream man. To connect these two stories, a panel was made in which Cartoon Rob gets a hankering for ice cream due to him having just ridden the cow. Loose, but a thread none the less. Connections were created between most of the stories, but what was the point? The point came in the form of the idea that The Many Adventures of Cartoon Rob takes place over the course of a day. The story starts with what turns out to be a crazy dream. When Cartoon Rob wakes up from the dream, the day begins. Many things happen to him during the day, including riding a cow and stabbing his friend. After Cartoon Rob escapes from the cage, he comments it's very late in the evening. The next panel shows him waking up the next morning, which happens to be Monday. The idea was everything prior had happened on Sunday and when he went to work nothing exciting happened. Now Cartoon Rob cannot just have a normal job, hence the helicopter rescue he and Cartoon Tom run. But throughout the last few panels, Cartoon Rob is very tired from all the excitement from the previous day and not very much happens. So the decision to end on an odd note might have been misguided, but at least there was a reason behind it.

Does it make sense? Nah, probably not. But whatever, it's just a cartoon am I right.
